Most roofing companies are pretty generic. Repairing or replacing a roof is unglamorous, if necessary, work. But one Virginia-based roofer stands out, tackling tough and interesting jobs that place the company ahead of the crowd:  Northern Virginia Roofing, Inc.

What makes Northern Virginia Roofing special? Here are just some of the activities the Falls Church-based roofing contractor has been involved in that go “above and beyond” the expected:

  • New Roof for the Pentagon – Following the devastating attacks of September 11, 2001, Northern Virginia Roofing led an industry-wide effort (through the National Roofing Contractors Association) to repair and replace the section of roof destroyed when a terrorist-flown airliner crashed into the Pentagon building. The result was a new roofing system on our nation’s iconic military headquarters, built entirely with labor and materials donated by the roofing industry.
  • Extreme Makeover Home Edition – Northern Virginia Roofing worked with the national ABC-TV series “Extreme Makeover Home Edition” to re-roof the home of the Tripp family in Hyattsville, MD. For 22 hours straight, a 15-person crew from Northern Virginia Roofing constructed a metal standing seamed roof that contains solar power panels to help reflect heat and solar collectors that produce approximately five kilowatts of electricity on the new home.
  • 12 National Roofing Contractor Awards – Northern Virginia Roofing is the only roofer to earn the GAF Corporation’s National Roofing Contractor Award for 12 consecutive years. GAF presents this award to roofers who display a commitment to quality customer service.

Despite these high profile projects and awards, Northern Virginia Roofing still gets the most satisfaction from doing their best work for their neighbors in northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC.
